To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of Splinter Cell, Ubisoft has unveiled new info on the reamke of the game with the first concept art
The team behind Splinter Cell Remake celebrated the saga’s 20th anniversary with new info on game development. In a last new details about the project were revealed discussing some of the technical changes to expect, showing the first ones concept art of the title. According to technical director Christian Carriere, some of the improvements to expect are advanced artificial intelligence which will allow special forces soldiers to violate or enter the rooms in different ways with more possibilities available.

The new info on Splinter Cell Remake does not end here because The team is making improvements to the game mechanics of the “cat and mouseby Sam Fisher with enemies. There will also be both audio and graphical improvements to the title that will make it modern and on par with today’s games. Last year, Ubisoft announced that a remake of the original Splinter Cell is in development and is in the works at the studio that developed Far Cry 6. To this day, nothing has been discussed since then, but in September a job posting provided some insight into what to expect. The team behind the game is rewriting and updating the story for a modern audience keeping the spirit and themes of the original game. Also, slowly discovering the characters and the game world will be more authentic and believable.
Of course, since the game is in the early stages of development, Ubisoft isn’t ready to discuss the game much. However, when it was announced, producer Matt West stated that the team wants to make sure it spirit of the first titles remain intactin order to keep the identity of the first Splinter Cells intact. Furthermore, the game will remain so faithful to the originals that the idea of making it open world has been excluded and will remain a linear adventure like the previous chapters.
