Honor today announced the launch (for now only in China) of Honor Magic Vs, a new foldable smartphone that aims to redefine the industry. With innovative designs and displays, top performance and attention to the user experience, this new folding wants to aim high. And from the words of CEO George Zhao, it seems that this foldable could soon arrive in Europe too.

Up to 400 thousand folds
The European debut of Honor Magic Vs could be interesting because the device, at least on paper, seems to do things quite well. Testing ensure it can support up to 400 thousand folds, which is over 100 folds per day for the beauty of over 10 years. The few experts who have tested it outside of China (like Jon Porter of The Verge) can’t attest to such a long life, but they report that the crease is smooth and of good quality.

Like its predecessor, Honor’s new foldable features two different screens: a foldable internal one and an external one. The latter it measures 6.45 inches, with a scherms to body ratio of 90%. So it can do much more than show you notifications: it is in all respects a top-of-the-range smartphone display.
But opening the device you will find the 7.9 inch foldable display, as big as a tablet. You can use different solutions for multitasking, taking full advantage of the size of the display.
Honor Magic Vs supports 100% DCI-P3 colors, therefore comes to offer 1.07 billion colors for you to enjoy movies and TV series to the fullest. The refresh rate that arrives fino a 120Hz ensures good media and gaming performance, the high brightness allows you to see well even in the sun.
Honor has also thought of various solutions for eye comfort, such as the Dynamic Dimming to adjust the brightness and prevent them from sticking, or the Circadian Night Display which reduces blue light and helps you fall asleep.
Top-of-the-line performance and great cameras
Honor has decided to equip its new folding chip Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, flanked by 8GB or 12GB in RAM and 256GB or 512GB of memory (the latter cut only has the 12GB RAM variant). This should ensure true top-of-the-range performance, without compromise.
Also because the 5,000mAh battery it is the largest among the leaflets currently on the market. And with Honor Supercharge you can recharge at 66W cable your device, to go from 0 to 100% in 46 minutes.
