LAS VEGAS – In this edition 2023 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Acer presented many new features: but gamers were especially waiting for the announcements of the line Nitro. Powerful laptops with new Intel Core 13 processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 40 GPUs.
Acer Nitro, the gaming powerhouse at CES 2023
A new range of powerful laptops 16 and even 17 inch, but with compact designs to offer gamers and graphic designers a large screen while being extremely portable. These new laptops also take advantage of GPU Nvidia Geforce RTX 40 Series, based on the ultra-efficient Ada Lovelace architecture. Gamers can thus take full advantage of ray-tracing and DLSS 3, to gain advantage with Reflex.
The new Nitro 16 gaming laptop (AN16-51) has a 5% larger screen area with a 16-inch WUXGA or WQXGA display, with frequencies up to 165 Hz and support for Nvidia Advanced Optimus. Also, it has a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard with brilliant colors.
The new Nitro 17 takes advantage of processors Intel Core HX up at the thirteenth generation, with extreme power while remaining at 3 kilograms in weight. The slim 400.20 x 293.25 x 27.9/28.9 mm design houses the 17.3-inch display with two different panel configurations: a 144Hz or 165Hz FHD and a 165Hz QuadHD. Also in this case we find a 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard and a large touchpad.
At full power
Both laptops harness the full power of Windows 11, with up to 32GB of 4800MHz DDR5 memory and up to 2TB of M.2 PCIe Gen. With two fans and four slots on the back and sides, an air vent on the top and thermal grease for liquid metal, there is no risk of heating up even during the longest gaming sessions. Which you can take full advantage of with a free month of Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass.
Each model has Killer DoubleShot Pro, enabled with Killer WiFI 6 1650i card. There is no shortage of HD video camera, two microphones and two speakers with DTS:X Ultra audio. The Acer Nitro laptops presented at CES 2023 have two HDMI 2.1 ports, microSD card reader, two Thunderbolt 4 and three USB 3.2 Gen 2 portsincluding one for recharging.
Prices and availability
The new gaming laptops arrive in Italy in May, the 16-inch version starts at 1499 euroswhile the 17-inch 1599 euro.
