According to the latest rumors, the new ones MacBook Pro 14 e 16 should arrive soon, with specifications improved but an almost unchanged design. The new ones chip M2 Pro e Max they should still raise the bar of computational power, especially for those who do photo and video editing.
MacBook Pro 14 and 16: the expected specifications
The announcement could even come today, according to l’insider Jon Prosser, directly from the Apple site: the new MacBook Pro 14 and 16 are about to arrive. But since it should only be a specification update, Apple will not hold a dedicated conference, limiting itself to a press release.
The main novelty undoubtedly concerns the chips M2 Pro e M2 Max, which according to expert Mark Gurman should offer a “marginal” increase compared to the last generation. Even though it had surprised by the performance, which had made rapid video editing possible even on the move.
One of the new arrivals concerns the WiFi 6E, with support for the 6GHz frequency which should guarantee higher speeds and lower latency. Also, since only a few devices support this frequency, you won’t have connection problems (if you have a compatible router).
33% faster RAM (probably new LPDDR5X on Samsungalthough there are no confirmations) should increase performance, also leading to a 20% drop in energy consumption.
On the other hand, there shouldn’t be any surprises from a design point of view: the same look as the previous generation, according to rumors. Also because in October 2021 it brought the new HDMI and MagSafe ports, a notch and various other innovations that users greatly appreciated. In 2023 (and perhaps already today) we expect only one MacBook Pro 14 and 16 spec update.
