Instagram launches the Notes feature in Italy: here’s what it is about

After throwing Note in a few selected countries around the world, today Instagram also presented the new feature in Italy. But what exactly is it about? And how to use it? Here’s everything you need to know.

What is Instagram Notes

Notes is a new platform feature that allows users to share your thoughts in the form of text messages. Specifically, Notes can contain a maximum of 60 charactersincluding emojis. Users can therefore, from today also in Italy, read Notes from friends and write your own, expanding the ability to share your thoughts on Instagram.

To use Notes you need to be sure that the app is updated to the latest version. If there are no updates available, you will have to be patient, as it may take a few days for the update to arrive on all devices. Once the app has been updated, just access the messages section, choose the followers you are following (or the list of Closest Friends) and the note will appear at the top of their message box for 24 hours. Replies to notes will come as DMs (direct messages).
