2023 is an important year for the Walt Disney Company, as the company officially turns 100. A century since 1923, when Walt Disney founded what would become the largest entertainment company for children, between visual productions, theme parks and iconic characters. To celebrate 100 years, the big-eared brand has organized an exhibition called Disney100: The Exhibition. Visitors will be welcomed by Walt Disney in person, indeed not in person since the entrepreneur disappeared in 1966, but from his hologram.
The first images of the hologram were also leaked, released by Good Morning America. The digital image was generated using the numerous footage from the Disney archives, processed by artificial intelligence.
Disney100: The Exhibition – Not just the Walt Disney hologram al
In addition to receiving a welcome from Walt Disney, visitors to the exhibition will be able to admire 10 different thematic galleries. The exhibit space is a whopping 15,000 square feet (approx 4,500 square meters). The exhibition includes artifacts, original artwork, costumes and props (including Black Panther’s mask and Captain America’s shield). Currently the exhibition includes about 250 original objects. Visitors will also be able to take part in some interactive experiences thanks to the touchscreens scattered throughout the area
Disney100: The Exhibition opens on February 18 at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia until August. Don’t worry though because Disney has promised that the exhibit will go on tour to visit museums around the world.
