In the past few hours, Alan Tew, Game Director of Hogwarts Legacy, spoke about the possibility of soon seeing a DLC of the game, currently denying its development: let’s find out all the details together
Arrived last February 10 on PC, Xbox Series X | S and PS5 (after the postponement of the old-gen and Nintendo Switch versions), Hogwarts Legacy proved to be what we already knew: the top title of February as well as of this first quarter of 2023. Net of so many criticisms and controversies, especially based on the controversial figure of the author of the Harry Potter franchise, the title of Avalanche Software and Warner Bros is, to all intents and purposes, a real playground for all fans of the most famous wizard of the world. Exploring Hogwarts, rebuilt in an almost obsessive way, as well as the game world aboard a broom… we know it was your dream since you were a child. As well as ours.
What is missing is, of course, Quidditch. For some strange reason, Avalanche did not implement it in the game and also justified everything on a plot level with a trivial hiccup for a student, which caused the Headmaster to cancel the annual competition. Many have thought of a possible paid DLC for the introduction of the game, and it is precisely of this that Alan Tew, Game Director, spoke in an interview with IGN. Calm things though: the developers currently have no additional content planned for Hogwarts Legacy. Alan Tew has in fact stated:
We’ve been very busy bringing Hogwarts Legacy to life, so there are currently no plans for DLC.
Hogwarts Legacy: no DLC in the pipeline from Avalanche Software
A blow to all Quidditch dreamers, in short, but that’s not necessarily a definitive point to the thing. Simply, Avalanche is not currently working on a DLC for Hogwarts Legacy (also because it is rolling out some patches and updates for the title’s numerous glitches), but things could still change over time. We hope so, obviously, it is also true that if this is the case, however, it will happen in a long time.
