iPhone 15 news, RAM and 8 GB improvements for Pro models
The iPhone Pro, one of Apple’s upcoming products, will have a number of improvements. First of all, the RAM will be improved and the Pro model could have as much as 8 GB of memory.
The standard iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will likely stay at 6 GB in RAMbut it’s possible these models could be upgraded to faster LPDDR5 RAM, as the iPhone 14 Pro models were last year.
Why is it important to have better RAM? Increasing RAM can help the multitasking on iPhone by allowing multiple apps to open simultaneously in the background. Along with the alleged A17 Bionic chip for the iPhone 15 Pro models, the RAM improvements would boost overall performance.
If the iPhone 15 Pro is upgraded to 8GB of RAM, it would be the first increase since the iPhone 12 Pro was released with 6GB of RAM. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 15 series as usual during a September press event. Other leaked information concerns the material: seems to have been using the titanium instead of stainless steel. Not only that: according to the information received, with the transition to the USB-C port, Apple is thinking of replacing the Lightning E75 controller with an E85 port controller.
