Batman: Caped Crusader, animated series by Bruce Timm, will arrive on Amazon Prime Video with two seasons after the about-face of HBO Max
Batman: Caped Crusader, is an animated series created by Bruce Timm, which risked never seeing the light. She was in fact rejected by HBO Max, but in the Cesarini area she was saved by Amazon Prime Video, which will produce the series. The project, which is also involving J.J. Abrams ee the director of The Batman Matt Reevesconfirms that Prime Video is the home of the bat man.
Perhaps mindful of the enormous success of the cinecomic series The Boys, the platform is therefore collaborating with Warner Bros. Animation on the project. It seems that the two giants have reached an agreement to bring Batman: Caped Crusader to TV. Behind this series is the mastermind of Bruce Timm, former author of the iconic series on the character of the 90s. Caped Crusader was notably first ordered and then trashed by HBO Max following the merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery, from which it was born Warner Bros. Discoveryand also partly due to the scrutiny of new DC Studios presidents James Gunn and Peter Safran for the DC Universe in film and TV.
Batman: Caped Crusader will arrive on Amazon Prime Video with at least two seasons
That’s not the only good news for fans, as it would appear the deal comes with an initial order of two seasons. For obvious reasons we don’t know much more about Batman: Caped Crusader and the publication on the Prime Video platform. We can tell you that she has been described as one reinterpretation of the mythology of the Dark Knight. It will be a series that will use cutting-edge animation techniques and technologies to reimagine Batman and his iconic rogues gallery with a sophisticated storytelling, nuanced characters and intense action sequencesall set in a visually stunning world.
At the time of the first order, now almost two years ago, Timm, Abrams and Reeves had also released a Press release:
We are more than thrilled to work together to bring this character back to life and tell exciting new stories in Gotham City. The series will be thrilling, cinematic and evocative of Batman’s noir roots, while delving deeper into the psyches of these iconic characters. We can’t wait to share this new world.
