In the past few hours, Neil Druckmann has used a 2020 poster of The Last of Us to raise the hype bar a bit on the second season of the HBO series, as if it were needed
The great success achieved by the two video games of The Last of Us was also channeled into the TV series which, both thanks to the excellent acting performances of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey and thanks to an enviable direction and technical sector, has depopulated with a screaming first season, although it has some differences from the Naughty Dog title. And while we wait to be able to buy the BD, arriving in the next few months, we are obviously already starting to talk about the highly anticipated second season.
A second season that should also have the much loved and hated Abby among the protagonists who, we will not give spoilers regarding Part 2, do not worry, in the video game she is represented with a very muscular and statuesque physique. Fans were worried that this characteristic of her could be filed or even worse eliminated from the second season of the TV series, but apparently Druckmann himself was keen to deny these rumors. With a poster from 2020, used to promote The Last of Us Part II at the time. We leave you the Tweet below.

Neil Druckmann throws the stone to raise the hype on the second season of The Last of Us with an old poster
The poster above, therefore, is not a promo born for the marketing campaign of the second season of the HBO series, but it is a work of Kevin Tong, born in 2017, from the variation of two other posters previously used for the first The Last of Us, even if not in its marketing campaign. The first artwork of this kind dates back to 2016 and you can find it below and, subsequently, another was created that refers a lot to the last one shared by Druckmann.
Happy #OutbreakDay2016 ! – I worked with @Naughty_Dog and @MondoNews to create this 18×24″ screen printed poster for #TheLastOfUs 🤓😳🗡🔪☠🍄🌿 pic.twitter.com/4QTZ93LD6q

A variation on the theme, therefore, this poster used by Druckmann to raise even more the already high bar of hype in relation to the second season of the Last of Us.
