Deep Silver announces the return of Free Radical Design, just reformed and already working on a new chapter of TimeSplitters
In order to cross the pad with TimeSplitters you have to go back over then years, given that Future Perfect, the last chapter of the franchise, dates back to the distant 2005. It seems, however, that after numerous rumors and various denials, the historic shooter is ready to return, and precisely by the hand of the original team. The IP was purchased in 2018 by Embracer Group, a company that had also seen the arrival of Steven Ellis (co-creator and co-founder of Free Radical Design), and new news seems to shake the future of this series.
TimeSplitters: the reborn Free Radical Design at work on a new chapter
To tickle the fantasies of the fans we thought Deep Silver, who announced the return to the scene of Free Radical Design, all under the command of original co-founder David Doak and the aforementioned Steve Ellis. The studio will soon be working on the new chapter of TimeSplitters, although the publisher has been keen to emphasize that the development of the game has yet to begin, however promising to spread new news in due course.

I Free Radical Design had been bought by Crytek in 2009, following the bankruptcy of the studio, and then being restructured within Crytek UK and take part in the work on Crysis 2, Crysis 3, e Warface. Further subsequent restructuring resulted in some of the staff being fired, with other members choosing to leave the company to found the Dambuster Studio (Homefront: The Revolution, which among other things has an easter egg dedicated to the second chapter of the series Free Radical Design)). The team is still owned by Deep Silver, and is currently busy developing the troubled Dead Island 2.
