Legendary 93-year-old director Clint Eastwood is preparing to return behind the camera with a new film that could mark his farewell to cinema, the title of which has also been leaked
Clint Eastwood looks ready to get back in the saddle for directing a new film (perhaps the last?) in his extraordinary career. According to sources very close to him, in fact, the director would already be working on writing the project, of which the first interesting details would also have emerged.
The film in question would be titled Juror 2 and should be conceived as a thriller. Although the official nature is still missing, according to the first information that has emerged, the plot would concern the story of a juror who, following a murder trial, he realizes he may have been the killer himself. The protagonist will then have to face the moral dilemma of choosing between manipulating the jury to save himself or revealing the alleged truth and turning himself in.
A new film for Clint Eastwood: could it be the last?
Clint Eastwood would also seem inclined to consider Juror 2 his final film before retiring from the world of cinema. At the moment no date has been set for the start of filming, however it seems that Eastwood has plans to cast a young Hollywood star – remained anonymous for the moment – for the role of the protagonist. According to some rumors, this will be the protagonist of a big blockbuster to be released in the coming months, with the director who at the moment has not yet started talks with this mysterious young actor.
Just a few months ago, the 93-year-old director seemed to have ended his lucrative relationship with Warner Bros. Discovery, which has lasted over 50 years. Among the films made by the director for the historic studio, some have obtained various Oscar nominations, such as Invictus, American Sniper, Sully, e Richard Jewell.
His latest work, up to now, was instead Cry Macho, which was the subject of rather conflicting criticisms obtaining less success with the public than the previous films, thus cracking relations with the major. However, the differences between the various executives would have been smoothed out in recent weeks and the new CEO David Zaslav would have definitively decided in favor of the new project.
