24 hours after the announcement, we finally have the third trailer for Tears of the Kingdom: the world of The Legend of Zelda will never be the same
As unnerving as it is, the twenty-four hour wait for the third trailer they have only made the time that separates us from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom even longer. It seemed impossible, but the Big N did it great with three minutes of material that enrich our independent analysis of everything that precedes (narratively and in general) this new chapter of the saga. Eiji Aonuma returns in great shape before leaving us in the company of the video, in which we have seen a bit of everything. Including a character who confirms our latent suspicion… but first things first.
Villages, prophecies and red malpelo in the third trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The third trailer opened with an aerial shot of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hyrule and its sky islands. Link’s skydiving is alternated with the first villages, between well-known faces and unpublished base camps filled with tents with the coat of arms of the royal family. The rapid succession of settings takes us back to the thrills of the first presentation videos, between rewound sounds and melodies. The flying shipsthe phases of platforming and even the Mario-style water bubbles suspended in the air are just the tip of the iceberg. In fact, it is the little on which the plot unbuttons that sends us salivating.
Naturally there is no lack of frenetic moments of gameplay, including fights aboard the mine carts (which gave us traumatic flashbacks from Tri Force Heroes, but they are details). But we didn’t even have the time to bask thinking about the preview paragraphs that Nintendo Official Magazine would have dedicated to the game: the bomba came in the second half of the video. Between a joke in Italian decontextualized and a fall into the void of Zelda, we have the confirmation of something that everyone feared from the first video to the announcement. Sharpen the Supreme Sword, for the 12 maggio we’ll be back to addressing no less than Ganondorf!
