To keep up with the fastest-paced action, the ROG Phone 7 series leverages a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED display with a Touch Sampling Rate of 720Hz and color accuracy with Delta E <1, for unparalleled graphics. The brightness has also been increased to 1,500 nits, making it easier to use outdoors. Image quality has been improved through collaboration with Pixelworks, a leading visual processing company, achieving record-breaking color accuracy. We are talking about a display without comparison. The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate also features ROG Vision, a unique matrix display that can be customized to make your smartphone even more unique. This creative feature can show cool animations triggered by system events, such as charging status, incoming calls, power on X-mode and more. ASUS ROG Phone 7: energy efficiency without compromise
Minimizing energy consumption without compromising performance is not easy, the ROG Phone 7 series has managed to achieve a 15% improvement in energy efficiency offered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 platform, thanks also to the new GameCool 7 system, designed to cool the CPU from all directions. This system uses a three tier approach. For short sessions, the al thermal compound takes care of it boron nitride (BN) on one side of the CPU to reduce thermal throttling. Medium-length sessions are instead handled by the larger vapor chamber and graphite sheets on the other side of the CPU. Finally, for true marathons, the AeroActive Cooler 7, with its fan positioned right above the CPU, kicks in for AI-powered active cooling, supported by a Peltier cell thermoelectric system for extra cooling performance. In the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, cooling is further refined thanks to the system AeroActive Portal, industry leader. This vent is automatically activated when the AeroActive Cooler is plugged in, directing a constant stream of cool air from the cooler to the vapor chamber’s cooling fins. In this way the heat generated by the SoC is dissipated efficiently, with a significant increase in gaming performance and battery life. When the AeroActive portal is activated, the thermal efficiency of the phone can increase up to 20%.
Cooling system
The ROG Phone 7’s new fast-cycling vapor chamber has been completely redesigned. It is bigger and uses new technology inside. Instead of the usual pillar structures, special trident-shaped wick columns are found on the long edges of the chamber to improve efficiency. Additionally, there are six liquid return channels that act as escape routes for water returning to the SoC ready for the next thermal cycle. ROG Phone 7’s thermally efficient graphite sheets have also been enlarged and reshaped to maximize heat transfer from the motherboard and RF card. X Capture, on the other hand, is an artificial intelligence tool that automatically records memorable moments of battle, such as eliminating an enemy or winning a match. The renowned AirTrigger ultrasonic controls they offer gamers similar control to what they have on consoles.
