Voicemod is a popular application that allows you to change the voice in real time and activate custom voice effects. The app is particularly popular among streamers and gamers. To date, it has over 40 million users on Windows, and is finally available on macOS, both for Intel-based Macs and for those with Apple chips (those of the M series, to be clear).
To use Voicemod on Mac, simply download the app from the official site and install it on your computer. Voicemod will create a sort of virtual microphone that you can select in any application. Users will be able to choose from more than 100 effect options, from realistic to funny or scary. The soundboard is fully customizable if you purchase the paid pro version of Voicemod, which also offers more features and content.
Voicemod comes to Mac with AI Voices
One of the most innovative features of Voicemod is AI Voices, which allows you to change your own voice that of characters and celebrities. For example, you can speak in the voice of Morgan Freeman. AI Voices combines sound design techniques and sampling of real actors to encode a realistic, believable and…funny voice model!”
“Voicemod is the first application in the world to offer a real-time voice changer and soundboard to macOS users,” said Jaime Bosch, CEO and co-founder of Voicemod (via The Verge).
Voicemod is already available for free on the official website, with the option to upgrade to the paid version (which includes pro features and a larger soundboard). Currently the Mac version is still a beta.
