It’s been almost a year since, during the Worldwide Developers Conference last summer, Apple announced the launch of Rapid Security Response for iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura. This is a feature that improves security by applying updated patches to Apple operating systems, in particular to optimize safe web browsing with the Safari browser.

Apple: Rapid Security Response update is available today
Today, almost a year after the release and more than seven months after the release of iOS16 (which took place in September), the Cupertino giant released the first public update of Rapid Security Response. The update is available for all iOS and iPadOS devices updated to version 16.4.1 and for Macs running macOS version 13.3.1. Updated devices will notice a “(a)” in the updated version number.
As mentioned, this is the first public update of the security feature, but not the first ever. Apple had already released updates for Rapid Security Response for its beta testers.
At the moment, Apple’s support page has not disclosed what the specifics of the update are or what it includes.
