Shell is the new dystopian thriller by Max Minghella with an all-female cast: let’s find out all the details
It’s called Shell and it’s the new dystopian thriller directed by Max Minghella, a British actor known for starring in series such as The Handmaids’ Tale and in the recent Babylon. He had already made his directorial debut with Teen Spirit and is therefore here to direct his second film despite his young age.
Shell: the new thriller with Kate Hudson
We are facing a great all-female cast, with Elisabeth Moss, Kate Hudson and Kaia Gerber and a plot that still concerns the world of acting. There is an actress in trouble who undergoes so-called innovative treatments, which are intended to slow down aging. They’re supposed to be health and wellness treatments, but they turn into a nightmare, especially when some of the clinic’s former patients start going missing. Kate Hudson will be here the CEO of the clinic. Elisabeth Moss will star, while Kaia Gerber will play a former patient. Other details on the cast are not known, but the premises of this plot already seem interesting. The protagonist Elisabeth Moss has also been involved as a producer together with Jamie Bell, while the screenplay was written by Jack Stanley, former writer of Lou starring Allison Janney. The director said he was delighted with this project that brings current themes into a future that is so dystopian and does it with iconic and interesting characters.
We just have to wait for further updates on this project, such as its release date and where it will be available, because as has happened in recent years it could also be a product intended for streaming. At the moment we only know that the UK distribution will be handled by Black Bear International. Stay with us to stay updated!
