User Experience | Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro review
The construction materials are really excellent, the keyboard is really very stable e solid. We usually test many keyboards, but the feeling that this one gives Blackwidow it’s really fulfilling. I immediately installed the wrist rest, which hooks up to the keyboard in an ingenious way, continuing the RGB LED strip. The palm rest is extremely comfortable and pays off the user experience definitely more comfortevole. The click with the switch gialli it is really very comfortable. The depth is right, the click not too noisy e satisfying. Unfortunately there was only the version with US layout available, so getting used to it initially wasn’t easy.
Needless to say the keyboard lends itself to flawless manner for any use case, from hard gaming (assisted by almost 8kHz polling), to greatly facilitated productivity by the innumerable function keys available. Just the latter deserve a mention, as at the top right we find four buttons (track forward/back, play/pause and mute) plus a very comfortable washer that manages the volume in an incredibly punctual way. On the left side of the keyboard, however, we have ben five programmable keys from the application and a wheel that you can also press to change up to five different functions. Personally the function I found most useful was to “switch application” which allows you to navigate very easily between one page and another open one. Alternatively, it will be possible to use the wheel come manager from the brightness of the keyboard or as a zoom for the pages.
Then there are three other function keys on the left side which, however, I found rather uncomfortable and unhappy. It is clearly always a matter of feeling and habit, however it has happened more than once to run into involuntary clicks. Especially when you have to move the keyboard it is easy to get your hands there. I then proceeded to disable them entirely from the application that will be the protagonist of the next paragraph.
Dedicated software
It deserves a dedicated paragraph because it is among the most mature, complete and extremely easy to use software. Razer Synapse has now become a certainty for Razer users around the world. Once the keyboard is installed, the software he comes started automatically and installation is lightning fast. Once opened, you truly have a universe of modifications and customizations. From function keys, to the wheel up to the dial. At each step the user is facilitated to find the setting he is looking for in a manner simple e comfortable.
Conclusions | Razer Blackwidow V4 Pro review
Evident is how the keyboard industry it hasn’t undergone huge improvements for a long time, the products are all more or less on the same wavelength and the news is slow to arrive. It is therefore undeniable that this Blackwidow V4 Pro is no exception, nothing really innovative but all damn well done. Optimal functions such as that of USB passthrough, structure in lega Of aluminum extremely refined, polling rate out of mind even for the most driven gamers. Everything is in the right place, perhaps with the exception of the choice of three side function keysin any case easily deactivated by a magnificent dedicated software.
The price is certainly not the lowest, let’s talk about 269,99€. However the cost it is widely justified from the quality of the materials and the truly premium user experience. It goes without saying that it is one keyboard Truly recommended, especially for those who don’t have budget problems and expect the best below every point of view.
