This morning video game football fans, at least those on Xbox, woke up with a pleasant surprise: Fifa 23 has been added to the Game Pass catalog.
The latest chapter of the iconic franchise, the last really since the entire saga ends with the 2023 edition, is available for free to Game Pass subscribers, both on Xbox One and in the new-gen version for Xbox Series X|S .
From next year it will be time to EA Sports FC, the new guise of the video game. The decision comes after the non-renewal, for the first time in over 30 years, of the agreement between EA Sports and FIFA, the governing body of world football.
Xbox Game Pass: May’s other games besides Fifa 23
In addition to Fifa 23, this first half of May on Game Pass was definitely full. The month opened with the arrival of Redfall, a new first-person shooter with a vampiric hue. On May 4th it was the turn of Ravenlock (an adventure in which the player is called upon to fight horrendous monsters armed with swords and spells) and on the 11th came Fuga: Melodies of Steel (a turn-based RPG with a strong strategic component). Those who loved Shadowrun Trilogy on consoles will be happy to know that the PC version is available on Game Pass from May 9th. Finally, on May 8, the Definitive Edition of Weird West arrived, which guarantees an improved gaming experience, specially made for Xbox Series X|S.
Instead, 4 titles left the catalog on May 15th. These are: Before We Leave, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair Anniversary Edition, Hearts of Iron IV, Her Story e The Colorful Generation: Special Edition.
