The news continues on Twitter: for paying users with subscription to Twitter Blue, in fact, comes a further novelty. The social will allow you to upload videos up to two hours long, doubling the previous limit of one hour. This is a further step forward by Twitter which aims to increase the services available to subscribers who activate the paid plan.
Twitter will allow you to upload videos of up to 2 hours
For Twitter Blue users there is now the possibility to upload videos up to 2 hours and with a maximum weight of 8 GB (previous limit was 2GB). Also note that the uploaded is now available also via the iOS app and not only through the web version of the social network. For now, Twitter has chosen not to change the resolution limit, which remains set at 1080p.
This system will allow those who have a podcast to upload an entire episode even in video, as well as guarantee greater flexibility for users who intend to bet on videos on Twitter. Gradually, the social network may begin to compete directly with YouTube.
It is no mystery, in fact, what Elon Musk means turning Twitter into an all-encompassing app and capable of containing all the main features that web users need. A focus on video, therefore, represents a natural evolution of this goal. We’ll see if the social network will make other moves in this sense.
