The creators of Instagram now have a new way of communicating with their fans: i Broadcast channels.
These are spaces dedicated to specific content and topics, where creators can engage followers in a deeper and more interactive way. This feature, already tested in the United States since February, was announced today by Mark Zuckerberg and is already available in Italy.
How do Instagram Broadcast Channels work?
Broadcast Channels allow creators to share exclusive content, such as specific updates, with their followers. It is, in fact, a sort of newsletter directly in the app. They also offer new features to make the experience more dynamic and fun, including:
- The possibility of set a deadline for the channel and share a link or preview in Stories to entice followers to subscribe.
- The possibility of use questions to collect feedback and responses from followers and a dedicated tab in the inbox to easily access the broadcast channels you are a part of or to discover new ones (this feature will be available at a later time);
- The possibility of add a moderator that helps manage members, messages and content (this feature will also be available at a later date).
Some Italian creators who have already opened their own Broadcast Channel are Fedez, Chiara Ferragni, Trash Italiano and Alessia Lanza.
