Opera OneOpera’s new web browser, becomes available for download and will replace Opera for Windows, macOS and Linux during 2023: powered by AI, it leverages built-in artificial intelligence, called Aria. Which you can activate via a new command line or from the browser sidebar. The solution is based on GPT and offers up-to-date information from the web and the most modern AI.
Opera One, the first AI-powered browser ready to download
Opera has invested in the field of generative artificial intelligence to provide its users with a new browsing experience, capable of boosting their productivity and creativity through various ways of interacting with thebrowser artificial intelligence. With a modular design, which allows you to add new AI features and tools as they become available. Opera One is also the pfirst browser based on Chromium to use a composer multithread.
Joanna Czajka, product director of Opera, explains: “As people very attentive to the innovation of browsers, we have seen fit to rethink the role of our browser in light of recent developments in the field of AI. Unlike other manufacturers, Opera has not simply added artificial intelligence services to its browser. We went back to the drawing board and redesigned our flagship browser. Opera One is built around Aria, our native AI, and is the culmination of our work so far.”
Aria, the browser’s artificial intelligence
Aria is Opera’s new artificial intelligence, which is an integral part of Opera One and its first feature. The service is born from the collaboration between Opera and OpenAI, but with enhanced features. In fact, Aria is based on Opera’s Composer AI, which it connects to GPT of OpenAI and is enriched with additional elements such as the integration of real-time results from the web.
Opera One users also have access to one new command line that allows you to use the key combination ctrl+/ (Win) or cmd+/ to open an overlay and communicate with Aria. You can use the command line to ask Aria a question and interact with the browser’s AI response directly in the sidebar or continue browsing.
Aria is based on AI Prompts, a feature that Opera previewed earlier this year and which offers personalized suggestions based on the context and purpose of the text. Users can activate Aria by right-clicking or selecting a piece of text in the browser.
Opera One also includes a sidebar dedicated to ChatGPT. Opera’s artificial intelligence is a voluntary choice of users, who can decide whether or not to use the services of Aria and ChatGPT.
