Finally we can announce that, after four months of intense work, the shooting of the new film Aliendirected by the director Faith Alvarez, are officially over. It was Alvarez himself, with a post on Instagram who revealed to the world that the work on the set of his new project is finished. But what do we know about the brand new film, due out next year? “Time for a celebratory cigar. We finished!”. This is how Fede Alvarez celebrates the end of filming, which took place between March and July, in Budapest. The director, who also handled the writing (together with Rodo Sayagues) and production, was joined by Scott FreeOf Ridley Scott, in the executive production. The cast will instead consist of Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Spike Fearn, Isabela Merced e Aileen Wu.
But what will the plot of this new film be about? Not much is known about it, except that it will have protagonists a group of young people grappling with a distant and unknown world, which will bring them into the presence of new and menacing life forms. It would also seem that this new film will not have a connection with the previous chapters of the saga, but that it will proceed independently. Don’t be discouraged by this news; in fact it would seem that the 20th Century Studiosproducer of the film, was fascinated by the project.
The release date
Although filming has just finished, we can already update you on the release date. Alien will in fact be available from August 16, 2024. Furthermore, contrary to what was initially decided, the film will not be made available only in streaming, more precisely on the platform Disney Plus, but will also come to the cinema.
