In the highly anticipated live-action Barbie, signed by Greta Gerwig and arriving in cinemas on July 21, there will also be a hilarious cameo from John Cena
To date, the plot of the film is still shrouded in mystery, even if something has been reconstructed from the various trailers and interviews with the cast and director. Barbie (Margot Robbie) lives in Barbieland where he leads his seemingly perfect life alongside his other versions and Ken (Ryan Gosling). The protagonist, however, is driven out of the country because she is not regarded as one perfect looking doll. With nowhere to go, he decides to leave for the real, human world in search of true happiness. This journey will completely transform her and help her find herself.
On the big screen we will be able to see a stellar cast: from Margot Robbie to Ryan Gosling, up to Issa Rae, America Ferrera, Simu Liu, Dua Lipa and John Cena. All variants of the dolls of which we have seen images in the posters but of which one was still missing, namely that of the former wrestler.
John Cena’s Kenmaid Revealed in Barbie Movie
A week after Barbie’s cinema debut, a video was released that finally reveals the Ken with the features of John Cena. The well-known wrestler has already appeared on several occasions on the big screen. John Cena, in fact, has already taken part in numerous films, among the latest Bumblebeethe spinoff of Transformers, and chapters 9 and 10 of the saga of Fast&Furious. To make him famous in feature films was also the role of Peacemaker in the film The Suicide Squad, so appreciated to the point of inspiring a spin-off series entirely dedicated to the character he played. Here’s what John Cena’s Ken will look like.
Kenmaid’s images are hilarious. The actor comes up with a long hair of blond curls and a flashy necklace made of shells flowing down his bare chest. The wrestler’s appearance in the interview can only draw a smile. Furthermore, it is possible to see a small part of light blue fabric that wraps around the actor’s hips and which is most likely the mermaid’s tail. On closer inspection, albeit out of focus, in the background there are images of different Barbie Sirena designs and various props. The countdown to the July 21st to finally see the fantastic world of Barbie at the cinema.
