During the lawsuit brought by Microsoft at the Federal Trade Commission US for the acquisition of Activision Blizzardthe Redmond house said it expects Sony to plan theexit of a Slim version of PS5 during the year. The price will presumably be $399.99, although there hasn’t been any official announcement yet. Here, then, that while many believed that the colossus was primarily intent on the rumor PS5 with removable disk drive, it seems that, instead, the priority would be the smaller model of the console in question. PS5: details on the Slim model’s release period
Replying to a cryptic tweet from The Snitch, Nick Baker of Xbox Era reportedly heard of one “recently ago”. Showcase in August for PlayStation and that Sony’s plan would be to “reveal PS5 Slim during that occasion with relative release date“. Baker believes the console could be revealed “earlier” to counter Microsoft’s victory over the FTC to acquire Activision Blizzard. Of course plans can always change and others like Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming, they said that the new PS5 is simply one gen 2 version (i.e. a Pro model). Production of the current model will reportedly cease later this year. The new version, the same with the removable disk drive, is expected to start retailing in September according to rumors. At the moment, Sony hasn’t announced anything about any new models in development yet, so we’ll have to wait for more details.
