In the midst of the torrid heat of this summer, the first Italian trailer of Take the Flight was released, an animated film by the Illumination production company which is expected to be released in the next holiday season. One of the films of the holidays at the end of 2023 will in fact be Take the flight, a new animated film from Illuminationthe studio behind hits like Minions, Despicable Me, Sing and Pets.
The story of a family of ducks who try to convince the very protective head of the family to embark on a legendary vacation, one they will remember for a lifetime, Take the flight will debut in Italian cinemas on December 7, 2023. The film was written by Mike White, the creator of The White Lotus as well as screenwriter of beloved films such as School of Rockwhile the direction is by Benjamin Renner, the director of Ernest and Celestine.

The Mallard family is trapped in her routine. While dad Mack is happy to keep his family safe by endlessly surfing their New England pond, mom Pam is intent on shaking up their lives and showing their children, teenager Dax and duck Gwen, the whole world. After a family of migratory ducks land on their pond with exciting tales of distant places, Pam persuades Mack to go on a family trip. passing through New York City, up to tropical Jamaica. As the Mallards head south for the winter, their well-conceived plans quickly fall apart. The experience will inspire them to expand their horizons, to open up to new friends, to achieve more than they ever imagined, but above all it will teach them more about each other and about themselves than they ever thought.
