Blackmagic Design announced the launch of DaVinci Resolve 18.5an update packed with new features that aim at speed up work and enhance the creativity of video industry professionals. This release features a number of new tools based on theartificial intelligence (AI) and beyond 150 renewed functions, making the software even more versatile and efficient.

One of the most interesting new features introduced by DaVinci Resolve 18.5 is the presence of new tools based on artificial intelligence. These AI tools allow users to Automatically transcribe the audio of clips and to search for them based on the transcribed text. In addition, you can generate captions for timelines using voice-to-text conversion. These functions greatly simplify the video editing process and improve accessibility of the content through the inclusion of subtitles.
It’s here DaVinci Neural Engine is a powerful addition, capable of automatically analyze and categorize audio clips based on their classification. This tool is particularly useful on the page Fairlightwhere audio tracks can be grouped to automate and speed up the mixing and editing process.
As for color correction, the new Resolve FX Relight allows users to insert virtual lighting into the scene, providing greater control and flexibility in image processing.
