The first trailer of The Continental, the John Wick prequel series, has been released and will be available for streaming in Italy on Prime Video from September
Waiting to know if Amazon Prime Video will confirm the US release date (September 22nd) also for Italy, the platform that will distribute the TV series has released the official trailer of The Continental. The awaited miniseries prequel of the successful film franchise John Wick seems to be getting shorter, and the typical atmosphere of the successful saga returns to show itself in the official trailer. In the rich cast, among others, there are Colin Woodell and Mel Gibson, interpreters of younger versions of Winston Scott and Cormac. Thus the cinematic world around John Wick expands, which given the success (and the fact of having brought Keanu Reeves back into fashion after many years) could aspire to the creation of a cinematic universe.
The Continental: the trailer and the plot of the prequel miniseries
The Continental explores the origins of the iconic hotel meeting place for the world’s most dangerous criminals, which is the centerpiece of the John Wick universe. Il narrator is a young Winston Scottdragged into the hell of a 1970s NYC to face a past he thought he had forgotten. Winston embarks on a deadly journey through the mysterious underworld centered around the hotel in an attempt to take over the hotel.
Tasked by Cormac, a New York City boss and current manager of The Continental hotel, Winston must find his brother Frankie (Ben Robson), who is guilty of stealing something important. But the young man sides with his brother, starting a war. Each endowed with the skills to kill, The Scott will face all the “freaks of nature” that reside in the hotel, linking this story to that of the films with Keanu Reeves. We just have to wait for September to find out how the feud will end!
