Ordinary Angels, directed by Jon Gunn and starring Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchinson, will be in theaters in the United States from October 13. On the occasion of the now imminent release, Lionsgate has shared a new trailer of the project, in which the presence of the Academy Award Hilary Swank e you Alan Ritchsonstar of the Prime Video series Reacher.
Hilary Swank, former Oscar winner for Boys Don’t Cry and Million Dollar Baby, has been absent from the scene since 2022, when she took part in the Daily Alaskan series. At his side, in the role of the widower Ed Schmitt, we find Alan Ritchson, who has risen to new popularity with the Prime Video Reacher series, but also recently appeared in Fast X and awaited in Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, a spy story set during World War II, directed by Guy Ritichie. They complete the cast Amy Acker, Nancy Travis, Tamala Jones, Emily Mitchell, Drew Powell e Skywalker Hughesas little Ashley. The screenplay is by Meg Tilly and Kelly Fremon Craig.
Ordinary Angels, plot and trailer of the film based on a true story
Based on an extraordinary true story, Ordinary Angels tells the story of a tenacious and stubborn hairdresser, Sharon Stevens, with a calling to help others. Interested in organizing the funeral of a stranger, the woman decides to take care of her young daughter, Ashley, who needs a liver transplant. After engaging the community of her in a daring fundraiser and having convinced the father of the child to accept the money, Sharon however finds herself having to coping with the biggest snowfall in Kentucky history, which crashes into the state just when Ashley should have reached the hospital. By once again appealing to her community, Sharon will find a way to fix the situation. The release date in Italy is still unknownbut of course we will give you all the updates of the case.
