Sony launches two new DAB receivers for cars

Sony has expanded its range of car audio/video receivers with two new models: XAV-AX6050 e XAV-AX4050. These are DAB multimedia receivers that allow you to connect your smartphone to the on-board system display without using cables, thanks to the Wi-Fi connection and the external GPS antenna included in the Sony package. In this way, you can enjoy a more comfortable and safer ride, taking advantage of the functions of Apple CarPlay o Android AutoTM wirelessly.

Both models support coding technology LDAC, which allows audio tracks to be transmitted with higher quality than normal Bluetooth connections. In addition, they are compatible with the format FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec), which compresses audio signals without losing the quality of the content. The integrated DSP technology allows you to customize the sound processing and time alignment of the 5 adjustable channels (4 speakers + 1 subwoofer via pre-out). The 14-band equalizer and 3-zone crossover allow you to adapt the sound to the type of music or personal tastes.

Model AX6050 it stands out for its 17.6 cm (6.95″) Flush Surface display with capacitive touchscreen, which integrates perfectly into the car’s design thanks to the flush-mounted, frameless panel. This receiver also features an HDMI port for connecting external audio and video sources, to enjoy a break from travel.

Il model AX4050 it has a 17.6 cm (6.95″) touchscreen display with anti-reflection treatment, which makes it easier to see even in sunlight. The user interface of both devices has been designed to be simple, fast and intuitive, thanks to Sony’s long experience in creating GUIs appreciated by customers all over the world.

The new Sony DAB receivers XAV-AX6050 and XAV-AX4050 will be available from October 2023.
