John Wick 5 will have Keanu Reeves as the protagonist once again, confirmation has come from Lionsgate
Fans of the character from the famous saga played by Keanu Reeves have nothing to fear: it is confirmed that the actor will return to play the protagonist in John Wick 5, Lionsgate has already hired him to discuss the film. Despite the ending of the fourth chapter, which showed us a conclusion to the saga, it seems that the killer of the Great Table will return once again.

The news is official, Lionsgate has contacted Keanu Reeves again to discuss the fifth chapter of John Wick, a saga that has now become famous over the years. As reported by CNN, the president of Lionsgate Motion Picture Groupe, Joe Drake, announced it in an interview when talking about the sequel to the famous saga.
We are not ready to remove Keanu from the saga.
Further confirmation comes from other people with decision-making power. Producer Basil Iwanyk also added that as long as they found a coherent way to continue the story, then John Wick 5 will happen. Also joining the appeal was Chad Stahelski, director of John Wick 4, who said on the Happy Sad Confused podcast that if he had asked Keanu to return for the fifth film, he would not hesitate to answer with a yes. Reeves and Stahelski will take a trip to Japan, where they will decide what to do. If everything goes as planned, Stahelski and Lionsgate will begin preparations for filming, deciding which characters to involve and which sets to use.
To pass the wait for the release of the fifth chapter, Lionsgate has decided to give us two spinoffs. The first is Ballerina, starring Ana De Armas, who will play Rooney. It will tell a story of revenge, where Rooney will try to find the killers of her family. Keanu Reeves will have an important role in the film, scheduled for release in June 2024. The second is a crime drama miniseries, The Continental, which will premiere on September 22nd 2023 on Prime Video.
