NNGan international company developing the next generation of navigation and infotainment systems for major global automakers, has partnered with Dacia to offer the drivers of the Romanian company the possibility of directly update their maps via their smartphone.
Dacia becomes smart: here are the map updates via NNG
This new collaboration allows various Dacia drivers to update the content of the car navigation system using an easy and intuitive application even for the less experienced. The application Dacia Map Update allows customers to select, download and purchase the latest regional content directly to their mobile devices.
To do this all you have to do is connect your smartphone to the vehicle via the USB cableopen the application and download selected maps directly to Dacia Media Nav. Map updates require now only 15 minutes, transforming everything into a lot of time saved for the company’s various customers. Furthermore, the company has made available the first 6 updates are free2 per year for 3 years.
After this 3 year period, motorists will be able to decide to purchase specific maps that they wish to update in their vehicle, saving on those that are unlikely to be needed during use of the vehicle. The Dacia Map Update application for smartphones is now available on Android devices in the Google Play Store e will be released for iOS-based devices soon. Obviously the application is already compatible with Dacia vehicles that use the same operating system.
