Recently, Ubisoft Massive announced the ongoing development of Tom Clancy’s The Division 3: let’s discover all the details together in this dedicated article
Ubisoft, between one stumble and another, is about to bring new and interesting titles to the market, and not just for the Assassin’s Creed series (with Mirage leading the way). Recently, Ubisoft Massive announced that Tom Clancy’s The Division 3 is also one of the projects in development at the company, with Julian Gerighty, currently creative director of Star Wars Outlaws, who will become executive producer when the time is ripe. Gerighty is currently building a dedicated team, and Ubisoft Massive, as already mentioned, will lead the development.
The Division 3 has been announced, but it’s still just a project
Gerighty himself is overseeing projects such as Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence (the title for mobile devices) and Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland, from Red Storm Entertainment. And obviously, The Division 2 will continue to receive support. Gerighty commented:
Although it is true that we already have more than 40 million players on our side, The Division is still a very young franchise. There are so many incredible stories to tell, places to explore and people to protect.
Therefore making it clear that for now the developers’ objective is to refine and improve the quality of the titles belonging to the franchise. Gerighty then continued:
I believe that with Tom Clancy’s The Division we have managed to create a product with cutting-edge graphics and incredible gameplay and the promise to players is that they will not be able to have a similar experience anywhere else but with Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. It’s all about improvement, about moving the quality bar higher and higher.
Finally, in a message dedicated to fans on the future of the franchise he added:
There are a huge number of talented developers working on the brand currently, and I believe that with even more consistency we will only improve everyone’s work.
Ubisoft Massive, as already announced for both titles, is working on both The Division 3 and Star Wars Outlwas, as well as Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which will arrive next December 7th on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S.
