First of all, we remind you that, if you haven’t already done so, you have until October 2nd to add the September 2023 games to your collection. We are talking, we remind you, about Saints Row, Black Desert – Traveler Edition and Generation Zero. October’s free PS Plus Essential games will be available from October 3rd through November 6th. Which ones are they? We’ll shoot them straight away: The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22, Weird West. Let’s see them.
The Callisto Protocol (PS5, PS4) | PS Plus Essential: free games for October 2023 announced
We still remember the most bitter disappointment that was The Callisto Protocol, a title that we included in our Flop 10 of 2022 and which you can find reviewed at this link. The title, developed by Striking Distance Studios and published by Krafton is a third-person survival horror game set 300 years in the future, in which we will play Jacob Lee. Victim of fate found inside the Black Iron prison, a maximum security penitentiary on Jupiter’s moon, Callisto, Lee will see his companions transform into monstrous creatures and throw the prison into chaos. Available in both the PS4 and PS5 versions.
Farming Simulator 22 (PS5, PS4) | PS Plus Essential: free games for October 2023 announced
Even in this case the presentations seem extremely superfluous to us. With a gargantuan amount of content and variety, Farming Simulator 22 will put in your hands all the machines you need to cultivate your fields, look after your animals and plants, complete with the addition of seasonal cycles. More than 400 types of machinery and tools from more than 100 real farming franchises, such as John Deer, CLAAS, Case IH, New Holland and many more. Highly recommended for management software enthusiasts: similar care and depth have rarely been seen on the market.
Weird West (PS5, PS4) | PS Plus Essential: free games for October 2023 announced
Weird West is an action RPG (find our review here!) with an isometric view developed by WolfEye Studios and published by Devolver Digital, which arrived last year on PS4 and Xbox One and this year on current generation consoles. In this title you can discover a dark fantasy reimagining of the Old West, where gunslingers share the frontier with fantastic creatures. Highly recommended to all those who want an experience… at least addicting!
