The Innovation Tram at Milan Digital Week 2023
“Place on the move” where citizens can, free of charge, listen to the experiences and testimonies of protagonists of the digital transformation, the project, conceived by the president of the Association, Gianna Martinengo, has reached its sixth edition. From 2018 to today it has physically and virtually involved over 15,500 people, offering both insights into future scenarios made possible by technology and concrete proposals and solutions that have shown how this can help people’s daily lives.
When it is possible to access the Innovation Tram
From 5 to 9 Octoberin line with the theme of Milan Digital Week, “Developing the boundaries for an inclusive, sustainable and ethical digital transition and technological innovation”, iThe Tram becomes a space accessible and usable by anyone, even those who cannot be physically present, offering an engaging and interactive modality for a unique digital experience. The historic vintage tram of the ATM and the new Tramlinks recreated in the metaverse will move in a virtual space inspired by the central streets of Milan and which starts and arrives in Piazza della Scala.
How does it work
Participants will be able to get on board using avatar personalized and interact in real time with speakers and other users. An immersive experience that will allow you to move within the virtual environment, explore different areas and actively participate in the proposed activities, also attending speeches by representatives of institutions, companies, schools, universities and research.
The focus of the interventions will be emerging digital technologies (AI, Web 3.0, Metaverse and Robotics, Cybersecurity) and their impact and intersection with biotechnology, new materials, energy and the environment. Particular attention will be paid to accessibility, ethics and sustainability.
The young generations at the center
The Innovation Tram also aims to actively involve young generations with gamification activities during the tram races, an entry test into the metaverse to verify the level of knowledge of the topics that will be the subject of the talks and a final test that will offer users who answer correctly the chance to win exclusive prizes.
The speed date for female entrepreneurs
To complete the experience, on the afternoon of October 5th, at Palazzo Giureconsulti, a physical event will also be held. “speed date”, organized in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi and its Committee for Female Entrepreneurshipdedicated to generation Z.
Students and young people will be able to meet and dialogue with the protagonists of innovation and change in companies, institutions, universities and the world of research, including Arianna Censi, Councilor for Mobility of the Municipality of Milan, Chiara Benedetta Cormanni, President of the Committee for the Female Entrepreneurship of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza Brianza Lodi, Layla Pavone, Coordinator of the Board of Technological Innovation and Digital Transformation of the Municipality of Milan and Prof. Patrizia Steca, President of the CUG of the University of Milan Bicocca.
