From Amiri cars to a Popemobile, the Classics Gallery at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show in Qatar will offer a meticulously curated display of historically significant classic cars

Included in the main exhibition experience in the large pavilions of the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC); the Classics Gallery will prove to be an unmissable attraction for all the most demanding buyers, collectors and enthusiasts of classic cars. GIMS Qatar yes will take place from 5 to 14 October 2023 and will open to the public on 7 October. The Classics Gallery will showcase exotic and exceptional historic automobiles, including Best of Show winners from major concours d’elegance. The refined gallery will also showcase cars with Qatari provenance and pedigree.

There will be an eclectic mix of stunning pre-war and post-war vehicles, including Best of Show winners, fabulous maharaja cars, official state cars, iconic roadsters, a grand prix winner and even a Popemobile. The “star of the show” is the Rolls-Royce Phantom V of Qatar, delivered new to the then Amir of Qatar HH Sheikh Ahmad Bin Ali Al Thani after being unveiled at the 1962 Geneva International Motor Show. The Phantom Chassis 5LCG25 It truly represents the understanding of Qataris and is an automotive monument to the long-standing relationship between Qatar and the Geneva Motor Show. The spectacular display of vintage and classic cars is a precursor to the ‘GIMS Qatar Concours d’Elegance’ planned for the future.

Covering an area of ​​more than 10,000 m2 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), the exhibition will host 30 renowned automotive brands. GIMS Qatar will be open to the public from 7 to 14 October, every day at the DECC from 2pm to 10pm and from 10am to 10pm on Saturdays.
