Good news, rabble: exceptions to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U online shutdown
However, not all online closures are harmful. To give an example like another, the Pokémon Bank will be again accessible to the public and it will stay free until further notice. Similarly, for obvious reasons, SpotPass will abandon ship the handheld-only usage of StreetPass will effectively make the Nintendo 3DS feature in question immortal. We do not have a specific day for the cessation of activities, but it cannot be ruled out that the unfortunate day will arrive sooner.
