The Nissan Formula E team warms up its engines and begins preparations for what will be the 2023/24 season. Let’s see all the details
Il Nissan Formula E Team is ready to step up its preparations ahead of ABB FIA Formula E World Championship 2023/24with the next pre-season test taking place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo of Valenciain Spain, from 24 to 27 October 2023. After a promising debut under the new name last season, the team aims to further develop its performance in the second year of the Gen3 regulations. This test represents the only opportunity for the team to hit the track earlier of the opening of Season 10 of the championship in Mexico City on January 13, 2024making this preparation phase vitally important.

Sacha Fenestraz, a French-Argentine driver, aims to start his second year with the team on the right foot, looking to further build on his promising debut season. In the meantime, Oliver Rowland, a British driver who won several Formula E races, continues to strengthen his affinity with the team after returning after two years. Sacha Fenestraz said the following:
I can’t wait to start testing, get back on track and prepare for my second year with the team. I had a good break, I relaxed and recovered after an intense season. I feel fit, we worked hard during the break, improving the car and analyzing my first season. We’ve made improvements and I’m looking forward to comparing ourselves to the other teams. Our aim for the tests is to prepare ourselves as best as possible for the start of the season, so as to start with a solid base in Mexico City and build on this for a new successful campaign.
During this week of testing, it is also expected a session dedicated to rookie driverscon Luca Ghiottosimulator and team development driver, e Victor Martins, member of the Alpine Academy, who will take the wheel. Both have already had a taste of Formula E cars at the rookie test in Berlin in Season 9. Furthermore, Luca Ghiotto had the opportunity to take to the track during the FP0 free practice in the last Rome E-Prix. Ghiotto himself expressed himself thus in this regard:
It’s an amazing feeling to be ready to drive the car again, the last time I was on track was in Rome, so I’m very excited for next week. I will have the opportunity to test and help the team with some small changes and improvements, so when I return to the simulator I will have fresh feedback from the real car. Our goals in Valencia are to collect more data, accumulate mileage and continue to help prepare for Season 10. We are preparing as best we can for the start of the year and I am happy to be able to help the team.
In Season 10, the team decided to adopt again its famous and fascinating livery with cherry blossoms, a tribute to its Japanese roots. This choice marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter, as the team prepares to challenge its first home Formula E race with the debut of the Tokyo E-Prixexpected during the cherry blossom season March 30, 2024. This event represents an extraordinary opportunity for the team to demonstrate its commitment to Formula E and electric vehicles in Japan, adding a special touch to this season.
