David Leitch returns to the cinema with a new wild action movie that tells the story of a stuntman who finds himself investigating the case of a missing person. The film will arrive in our cinemas on February 29, 2024 and is titled The Fall Guy. The director is widely known in the sector: he made his debut paired with Chad Stahelski with the first John Wick and then left the saga to dedicate himself to films such as Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw and the recent Bullet Train. In the role of the protagonist there is Ryan Goslingand I am at his side Emily Blunt, Winston Duke, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hannah Waddingham and Stephanie Hsu. Written by Drew Pearce, The Fall Guy is based on the 1980s American TV series Dangerous, which was created by Glen A. Larson and which featured Lee Majors as the protagonist Colt Seavers.

Inspired by the 80s TV series of the same name created by Glen Larson, The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling in the role of Colt Seavers, a stuntman who retired from his job after nearly being killed while filming a scene. Jody Moreno, played by Emily Blunt, is Colt’s ex-girlfriend and will soon make her directorial debut on a sci-fi western and needs Colt’s help because the protagonist of her film, the handsome Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) disappeared under mysterious circumstances.
The first images were shown at CinemaCon 2023, at the behest of Universal Pictures, but thanks to the trailer we discovered several details about the plot of the film and some interesting background information regarding the work of stuntmen in cinema. The director himself, in fact, worked for a long time as a stunt double and the intention with which he made the film was to pay homage to the work of the professionals who risk their lives on the set. All the action scenes were, therefore, filmed without special effects and involving a large number of stuntmen who thus demonstrated their skill in their work with spectacular stunts.
