Through a press release, I Wonder Pictures has revealed the release date in Italian cinemas of The Eternal Memory, from Oscar-nominated director Maite Alberdi and which tells the story of Augusto Góngora and his wife Paulina Urrutia
From Oscar-nominated director Maite Alberdi, The Eternal Memory arrives in Italian cinemas from 7 December, distributed by I Wonder Pictures in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection. The Eternal Memory tells a touching love story which combines the theme of memory, individual and collective, with that of longevity and the strength of human bonds.

It is the story of Augusto Góngora, Chilean journalist, documentary maker and television host, and his wife Paulina Urrutia, actress, activist and politician. After 25 years together, their life is turned upside down when he is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival, in the Panorama section at the Berlin Film Festival and in its national preview at the latest Rome Film Festival, The Eternal Memory arrives in Italian cinemas from Thursday 7 December.
The synopsis of the moving film is as follows:
After 25 years together, the life of Augusto, a former journalist and television commentator, and Paulina, an actress and activist, is turned upside down when he is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Day after day, the two face this challenge head on, supported by the tender affection and sense of humor that still unites them. From Oscar nominee Maite Alberdi, a moving and sweet work on the fragility of memory and the indissolubility of bonds, Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2023.
