Marvel fires Jonathan Majors and says goodbye to Kang
Actor Jonathan Majors made his debut as Kang in the series Loki and his last appearance is in the second season of the TV series of which we wrote a review. The character was supposed to replace Thanos as the new villain of the Multiverse Saga, as was confirmed in the post credits scene of Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania, where we see various variations of Kang played by Majors himself. He should have been the villain of Avengers: The Kang Dynasty e di Avengers: Secret Warsbut after the director Destin Daniel Cretton he abandoned the direction of Kang Dynasty and the screenplay was entrusted to Michael Waldron (director of Loki), now the actor is also out of the project and is at risk one year in prison.
After the actor’s arrest, Kevin Feige had discussed with Marvel executives to change the storyline of the Multiverse Saga, replacing Kang with a new villain. The suspicion is that the films were postponed not only due to the two strikes in Hollywood which stopped work for a good six months, but also due to decide what to do based on the outcome of Jonathan Majors’ trial. Now, with his firing, there are sure to be major creative changes, whether it’s a simple actor change or even replace Kang’s character with a new one, perhaps with Doctor Doom. At the moment we only know that Avengers Kang Dynasty, according to the Hollywood Reporter, is internally titled Avengers 5. What do you think?
