The new Godzilla movie is making the history of the film saga dedicated to King of Monsters. Now, after the film’s Oscar nomination, the question is whether a sequel will be made Godzilla Minus One. The director of the film responds directly to the fans’ question, Takashi Yamazaki (here is the complete filmography), who already in the past hoped to continue with the franchise. Yamazaki spoke about his idea, hoping that he will be called back to direct the next film. His idea is based on introducing another monster to face.
No, we don’t currently have a plot for Godzilla Minus One 2. But I would be a little sad if they chose someone else for the next installment. If I could direct another movie, I would love to make a sequel to this one. Since there are two Godzilla standalone movies back to back, I think the next one should have another monster as an enemy.
At the moment all we can do is wait to find out what the company’s next plans will be That one for our favorite lizard. The success of the film is certainly a great incentive for the production company to make another Godzilla movie, maybe even the sequel to Godzilla Minus One. We’ll see.
