Recently, at the Taipei Game Show, many details were presented on the gameplay of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the Square Enix title arriving on February 29th: let’s discover them together in this dedicated article
Although we initially didn’t really appreciate the change of direction undertaken by Square Enix with Final Fantasy 7 Remake (here’s our review!), which differs greatly, on a narrative level, from the 1997 original, we are still among the first to wait for the the arrival of Rebirth, its sequel, next February 29th exclusively for PlayStation 5. This is because, in the face of that feeling of disorientation, once we accept that this trilogy will not be the real Remake of Final Fantasy 7 that we so wanted, the curiosity about where Square Enix wants to go is really great. We gave you all the details on the game in a dedicated article that you can find here, but some gameplay innovations were shown at a recent presentation at the Taipei Game Show. You can find it in full below.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and its long presentation at the Taipei Game Show
The presentation, in reality, was not a harbinger of sensational things and sensational news, but more of a pleasant review of some of the many details that had already been revealed previously. Open world activities were shown, including some combat missions and torri Remnawaveas well as some minigames, of which perhaps the one that excites us the most is Chocobo Race.
We were also able to take a more in-depth look at the combat system, especially the new Synergy abilities who took center stage, along with the obvious Summons (typical of Square Enix when it wants to flex its muscles). You can find the entire complete presentation halfway through the article.
