At the age of 90, actress Sandra Milo left us. The family made the announcement on January 29th via a post on Facebook:
Today at 8:25 in the morning our mother passed away. She left us peacefully, falling asleep in her bed, in the way she had expressly requested, surrounded by our love and that of her beloved dogs Jim and Lady. We ask you to respect our immense pain and to pray for her soul, sending her a thought of light.
Instead, her daughter Deborah decided to remember her like this on X:
Goodbye mom. You are light again…in the wind.
Then hosted on the Rai1 afternoon talk show, La Vita in Diretta, Deborah then adds:
She was a champion of civil rights, fighting violence against women, fighting against homophobia, discrimination and in favor of children born out of wedlock.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday at 12 in the Church of the Artists in Piazza del Popolo. On Tuesday from 10am it will be possible to say a final farewell to the actress in the Capitol where the funeral home will be hosted.
In the films she played, Sandra Milo had banal names and exotic names and wore costumes of different styles and colors. In the registry office, however, she appears as Elena Salvatrice Greco, born on 11 March 1933 in Tunis. With his mother and grandmother he took trips and moved several times during the war. She was married for 21 days to the Marquis Cesare Rodighiero, who turned out to be a violent man. Her second husband, the Greek producer Moris Ergas, also treated her the same way, but helped her on the set, but separated her from her beloved daughter Deborah. When she declared that she had been hurt by love, she wasn’t doing it as a metaphor. After the war, Sandra Milo moved to Milan to pursue her dream of being an actress, but she took her first steps as a photomodel.

His career began in Rome standing out for being a plus-sized girl with a cartoon voice, a cascade of blond hair and magnetic eyes. The actress Milo began with vintage French directors and in the 1950s, she often happened to shoot in the same period with Cayatte and Steno, until she is noticed by Pietrangeli who decides to pair her with Alberto Sordi in Lo Scapolo. Sandra Milo was an incredible actress of the 60s who ranged from arthouse films to spy comedies. It won two silver ribbons under Fellini’s direction. We also find her as a presenter, journalist and also as a contestant on reality television shows. In 2001 we find her as a commentator at the Sanremo Festival, while in 2010 she participates in the Island of the Famous. In 2020 we find her for L’Estate live on Rai2 and in 2022 she is joined by Maionchi and Laurito in the docu-realityQuelle Brave Ragazze.
