We can finally announce that filming has begun on Star Trek: Section 31, the new film starring Michelle Yeoh
Lovers of the universe of Star Trek listening, this is probably news you’ve been waiting for. Paramount+ has in fact announced the start of filming the new film Star Trek: Section 31. The film will see Michelle Yeoh (Academy Award for Best Actress for the film Everything Everywhere All at Once) in the role of protagonist.
Plot and cast | Star Trek: Section 31, filming begins
This new spin-off will focus on Empress Philippa Georgiou. We will see the character join a secret division of Starfleet, charged with protecting the Federation of United Planets, while she faces the sins of her past. The cast that will support Michelle Yeoh is made up of Omari Hardwick, Kacey Rohl, Sven Ruygrok, Sam Richardson, Humberly Gonzalez, Robert Kazinsky e James Hiroyuki Liao. The film, directed by Olatunde Oussanmiwas written by Craig Sweeny. Among the producers are Rodd Roddenberry, Trevor Roth and the protagonist herself, Michelle Yeoh.
