When will the new Lamborghini electric cars be released

Again according to CEO Winkelmann, the two new Lamborghini cars will be released in 2029, the year in which we will see an electric SUV from the company for the first time. The fourth model will be produced by Sant’Agata Bologneseusing synergies with Audi and all the Volkswagen group, which is why they will start hiring qualified people. Regarding the platform, the CEO clarified that they will work in house, directly using the Lamborghini Group platform.

Some doubts about the transition to batteries have also been clarified. He explained that they are studying carefully to understand what is the best move to make to create one fully electric super sports car. They are already doing various experiments with hybrids, with a life cycle between 7 and 9 years, but to make the real step forward they will have to wait between 3 and 4 years. However, he wants to remain safe and maintain the petrol alternative in case they fail to create this super sports car which was originally designed to be 100% electric. We’ll see what happens.
