Universal has decided that we will see the new Jurassic World in the summer of 2025, probably with David Leitch directing
The Jurassic World saga does not stop for any reason and in the summer of 2025 we will have the opportunity to dive among the dinosaurs again. In fact, Universal has announced that the next film in the saga will arrive in theaters on July 2, 2025. To meet that release date, Blockbuster will have to begin filming by summer of this year. This means that casting is upon us. In the meantime it seems that the director has already been found: David Leitch will direct the company. We already know the director for having been behind the camera for Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2 and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. The director will be back in theaters soon. Indeed starting May 3rd we will see him again directing The Fall Guywith Ryan Gosling, also for Universal.
Jurassic World, the new film will not be a banal sequel
The screenplay for the next Jurassic World is by David Koepp who also wrote the script for the first Jurassic Park film, which at the time was a completely new story. The production of the new film is composed of: Spielberg with his Amblin Entertainment, Franck Marshall, Patrick Crowley and David Leitch himself with Kelly McCormick and their 87North. It seems that the new Jurassic World film will not be a sequel to the previous films, but a sort of complete reboot of the saga for the creation of a new Jurassic era, with an all-new cast. However the deal with David Leitch is not yet concludedbut Universal seems very interested in having him at the helm of this latest project.
