The Chinese car company launched the electric Yangwang U7, revealing the price of the new model with four electric motors and Lip batteries
The Chinese company Byd has made itself known in Italy with the latest home-made models, but it is thanks to the collaboration of brands such as Dynasty and Yangwang that it has achieved large numbers in a short time. But it’s no surprise, even the great Elon Musk praises BYD and all Chinese car manufacturers. In 2023 the company sold over 3 million vehicles worldwide, earning the title of largest global vehicle manufacturer for two consecutive years. But the company doesn’t stop there: it releases the new sedan Yangwang U7 electricto be combined with the U8 off-road vehicle.
Features and prices of the electric Yangwang U7
This impressive sedan of more than 5 meters has inside well 4 electric motorsone for each wheel, for a total power of 960 kW, equal to 1.300 Cv. Despite the weight of a mid-range van, it can reach 270 km/h. The price of the electric Yangwang U7 is 1 million yuan, which in euros would be 130,000. Aesthetically, on the front of the car we find large LED headlights, a very large air intake under the bumper and a bonnet with two parallel ribs. Remember at times the Porsche Taycan, la Tesla Model S and the Seal World. On the front end is a bump that houses the Lidar. The EV is available in two variants with a range of 720 and 800 km. The differences between these two versions can be seen in the aerodynamic resistance of the vehicle, at least partially.
The electric U7, in fact, offers optional side cameras instead of rear-view mirrors, aerodynamic wheel covers and specific bumpers which bring the coefficient down to 0.195. Inside the passenger compartment we also find tre display, which offer both four- and five-seat configurations. The company has not revealed the battery pack it has installed on the U7 but hypothetically it would be the one from 80 kWh with considerable autonomy. The battery will definitely be at lithium iron phosphate and will be produced by FinDreams. It will have a capacity of 135.5 kWh and also contributes significantly to the overall weight of the sedan (3,095 kg in total), coming in at 903 kg.
