A new biopic about the Bee Gees is coming from Paramount Pictures, it will be directed by Ridley Scott
Ridley Scott was chosen as director of biographical film about the Bee Gees, an iconic disco group of the 70s. In addition to Ridley Scott himself, Michael Pruss with Scott Free, Graham King for GK Films, and Stacey Snider are also involved in the production of the film. Barry Gibb, the only one of the three brothers still alive, will be the executive producer of the film. The screenplay will be written by John Logan who has already collaborated with the director in the past. The biopic in question is still untitled. However, it seems obvious and obvious that will tell the story and above all the career of the Gibb brothersknown to the public as the Bee Gees.

Not everyone is aware of that It’s not the first time that the band’s careers and that of Ridley Scott have intersected. In fact, Robert Stigwood, manager of the band in the 60s and 70s, was also a film producer and at the time he had proposed to the director to direct a costume film, set in the Middle Ages with the three brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice, as protagonists. The project, however, never came to fruition, but Scott directed The Duelists instead, which was quite successful. The Bee Gees ended their musical career in 2003 following the sudden death of Maurice Gibb at just 53 years old. Barry and Robin then tried to reform the group in 2009, until Robin’s death in 2012 at the age of 62.
