A few days ago the historic Ferrari mechanic passed away Pietro Corradini. Pietro was born in Emilia Romagna in Formigine and joined Ferrari way back 1970. He stayed there for three decades, working for Formula 1, Sports Prototypes and road models. Corradini was one of faces of the company’s best-known mechanics. He worked closely with drivers of the caliber of Jacky Ickx, Clay Regazzoni, Niki Lauda, Gilles Villeneuve, Didier Pironi, Jody Scheckter, René Arnoux and Patrick Tambay, before concluding his experience in Formula 1 with Gerhard Berger in 1988. After that he also worked on the F40, F50 and 550 project.

When Corradini and Gilles Villeneuve met, it happened love at first sight. Corradini said he had great respect for him and respected him to the maximum. In his words, he made you enjoy yourself.
